What's Up Wednesday

On the last Wednesday of every month, I participate in a What's Up Wednesday Link Up!
I always have so much fun writing these posts!

I'm answering these questions:

What We're Eating this Week
I've told you before, I am all about the CROCKPOT MEALS!  We are so busy and it is so nice to have dinner just ready for you at the end of a long day!

Last Night we ate my Crockpot Chili

Later this week I am making my Crockpot Chicken and Rice Soup

What I'm Reminiscing About
DISNEY WORLD!
All of this snow and cold weather had me reminiscing about sweating like crazy at Disney in November!  It was HOT while we were there!  But I would trade snow for sunshine and heat anyday!  I cannot wait until we go back!

What I'm Loving
We rearranged our furniture and brought our basement couch upstairs and our upstairs couches downstairs.  I am loving this change!  It makes our upstairs (our main room) feel so much cozier!

What We've Been Up To
Snow.  And according to my time hop we were up to the same thing exactly one year ago.

What I'm Dreading
More snow....we got enough last weekend to last me a lifetime.  Thank you mother nature but I am done.  I know the kids love it...but I do not.  Snow days and shoveling and the crazy crowd at the food store - I don't want any of it.  We can fast forward to spring now!

What I'm Working On
A few new Valentine's Day Recipes!
And tidying up my whole house using the KonMari method (see what I've been reading).

What I'm Excited About
Lacie is LOVING school!  I am so excited about this because it took awhile to get here!  But finally in January she is excited to go every single day!  We even signed her up for lunch bunch (which is an extended day program when she stays until 3pm).  She did this two days a week in January!  Lacie loves it so much she asked if she could do it three days a week in February!

What I'm Watching/Reading

January has been an awesome month for TV!
I am watching THE BACHELOR!  After all these years, I still get excited for every single season!

I'm also watching the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills!!!  This is probably my second favorite Real Housewives after the OC!

And quite frankly I cannot get enough of Vanderpump Rules!  If you're not watching this you are missing out on some wonderful, mindless reality TV!

AND GUESS WHAT?!?!  I read a book this month!  The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up!  I cannot wait to organize my whole entire house using the KonMari Method!

What I'm Listening To
Blakely and Paisley playing.  Lacie is at school and I'm typing!

What I'm Wearing
LULAROE LEGGINGS!
They're probably the most comfortable thing I've ever put on in my entire life!  And they seriously come in the very best patterns!

And my Ugg Slippers!  I am so so so in love with these slippers that John got me for Christmas!  From the color to the comfort - they are amazing!

What I'm Doing This Weekend
FAMILY TIME!  John worked all last weekend so we are going to do some special things with the girls this weekend!

We're also going on a date <3
Even if we only manage to get to Starbucks alone!

What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month
Valentine's Day
and
Lacie's half birthday (how is my girl turning 4 1/2?!?)

What Else Is New
Paisley is doing something new EVERYDAY!  Seriously one is such an amazing age because they're development is at super speed.  She is walking everywhere and is so much steadier on her feet at thirteen months than she was at 12 months when she started walking.  She says a new word everyday!  She can show you things when you ask!

What Is My Favorite Valentine's Day Treat
Hands down, my homemade Red Velvet Cupcakes!

Mommy Mondays: Snowmageddon

If you live in the NorthEast you probably understand that we were snowed in this weekend.  We got hit with a lovely 30 plus inches of snow (I'm talking almost up to my waist).  The snow fell from Friday night all the way through Saturday night....

I know that this is exciting to some people but I am not a snow lover.
Like at all.

And John had to work the entire time!

The girls started getting in snow mode on Friday night by eating my  Crockpot Mexican Tortilla Soup

Saturday Morning we woke up to this:

The wind was so bad that the snow came through the screens in our windows

The girls were fascinated by all the snow!

For breakfast I made Mickey Waffles!  I just use my Christmas Morning Belgian Waffle recipe and put it in the Mickey Waffle Maker

I have two of these Mickey Waffle Makers:
We spent the entire day in our pajamas...

I spent most of the day worrying that our little roof was going to cave in!

On Sunday the snow finally stopped but John was still out plowing!
Our friend Corey came over to take the girls out in the snow...which was great because I do not play in the snow!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!!!

Today I am linking up with these three blogs to bring you all of the things I am loving this week!

Sisters
John worked late last night, so I had to do bedtime all by myself.  I'll be honest with you, getting three little people into bed, in the same room, by 6:30pm is like running a marathon!  But then they do sweet little goodnight hugs and my heart melts!

Snow
Okay so there are a lot of things I don't like about snow...

1. John works and I am snowed in with three crazies

2. The grocery store looks like this:

3. Facebook turns into this:

But I do love making cozy food during the snow!  If you are looking for a good snow day recipe, you could make a batch of my:

or

Cozy Clothes
All this cold weather and snow calls for lots of cozy clothes!  Leggings and sweatshirts and scarves!
John's parents got the girls these sweet outfits for Christmas, and they wore them earlier this week!  They love anything fuzzy and anything with a hood!

Let It Snow
Of course today, the girls all had to wear their Let It Snow shirts...even though it's not what I'm hoping for - they're kids and of course they love snow!
Writing this post was my favorite of the week! I loved reading everyone else's Momfessionals too! If you didn't read Tuesday's post, you should go do that now!

What did you love this week?

#hiloskyeveryday2016 Week 3

Day 14 - Green Smoothie...because I don't actually eat anything green...

Day 15 - I love when I catch them sitting like this!  The older they get, the more they fight...but they are still the very best of friends!  It makes me so happy!

Day 16 - John's friend Joey came over and basically helped us move all of our furniture!

Day 17 - all three of them line up for oils on their feet every single day!

Day 18 - Mommy's helper!

Day 19 - rocking matching outfits!  I talk about my love for matching outfits in my Momfessionals post which you can read here!

Day 20 - my sweet B ready for dance class.  I love how sweet she looks every single week!
