Mommy Mondays: Christmas 2015

Happy 2016!!!

I'm back to the blog today after taking a nice break to spend time with my family!

For my first Mommy Monday of the new year, I thought it would be nice to recap our wonderful Christmas!

We always start celebrating on Christmas Eve.  Since I was a baby, Christmas Eve is spent at my parent's house with my mom's side of the family.  We do a meatless meal, with fish and shrimp.  It's a fun tradition that I have enjoyed carrying on with my children!

After dinner, we headed back to our house!  The girls sprinkled Reindeer Food on the lawn, left milk and cookies for Santa, hugged and kissed Cocoa (our Elf) goodbye, and went to bed!

This is the note Lacie wanted to leave for Santa.  She told me exactly what to say - I guess she felt like Santa needed a reminder of how old they are!

While we slept...

SANTA CAME!!!

On Christmas Morning, John and I woke the girls up and we headed downstairs to see what Santa left!  The girls were really really excited this year!  They tore through all of their presents!  Our house was a blur of wrapping paper!

After presents, my parents and sister came over for our Traditional Christmas Morning Breakfast.  When Lacie was born, I decided that I wanted to start a Christmas Morning Tradition that my children would grow up with.  Everyone is invited to our house for Belgian Waffles!

You can read more about our Christmas Morning Waffle Breakfast by clicking HERE!

We also watched the Disney Parade on TV!

Then, the girls went down for a nap (and they were tired)!  When they woke up, we headed to John's parent's house for Christmas Day Dinner!
