Disney World Day 2

Sunday November 15th we woke up ready for our first full day in DISNEY WORLD!  I had planned this to be a Magic Kingdom Day!  It was also Blakely's actual birthday, even though we celebrated her birthday every single day on this trip!

We woke up and got ready!  Blakely got to open birthday gifts before we headed for an early (7:50am) breakfast at the Kona Cafe!  This was right inside the Polynesian - I got the Tonga Toast!  It was delicious!

After breakfast we hopped on the monorail and took it right to the Magic Kingdom!  Another First!

We got through the gates (which took a long time because we were there right for the opening).

We walked down Main Street and immediately felt that wonderful Disney excitement!  There was already a street party going on with music and dancing!  We headed straight towards the castle of course!

Lacie clearly thought this was her new home!

First up we had fast passes to meet Rapunzel and Cinderella!  Blakely really wanted to meet Cinderella because that is her favorite princess!

Rapunzel was first!  She was so sweet!  She wished Blakely a "Happy Birthday."  Then they made wishes on lanterns and set them off in the water.

After Rapunzel, it was time for Cinderella.  Now I am blessed to have had four years full of wonderful Mommy Moments - but this one falls in my top five!  Blakely's face when she met Cinderella was just precious.  You could tell she was completely in awe and it was magical for her!

I love that instead of looking at the camera, Blakely would not take her eyes off of Cinderella.  She was even trying to mimic the way Cinderella was posing.  It was such a sweet moment!

Now for those who don't know, Anna and Elsa meet at the same place as Cinderella and Rapunzel but it's a different line.  Everyone told me I needed a Fast Pass for this, but I couldn't get it.  I was ecstatic when we walked out and saw that the Anna and Elsa wait time was only 30 minutes!!!  That was pure luck.  We walked by this spot during other times of the day and the wait was anywhere from 70 minutes to 120 minutes.  Yup.  Two hours.  So needless to say I jumped in that 30 minute line!
Lacie and I took some selfies to pass the time!

Meeting Queen Elsa!

Meeting Anna!  She was one of the nicest princesses we met!  I really liked her interaction with the girls.

Next up it was time for our first ride of the day!  We had a Fast Pass to ride Under the Sea - Voyage of the Little Mermaid!  Even Paisley could go on this ride!

We had a bit of time to kill in between this ride and meeting Ariel, so John and I decided it was time for a Starbucks!  Paisley took a nap on me while we walked all the way back to Main Street!  I would say about 75% of our snack credits were used at Starbucks!

Then it was back to Ariel's Grotto for a meet and greet!  I really wanted to make sure and do this one because when you meet Ariel at the princess meals, she is human.  So this is where you need to go in order to meet Ariel with her tail!

After that it was already time for lunch! We had reservations for a character meal with Winnie the Pooh and friends at The Crystal Palace!

After lunch John's parents and brother headed back to the hotel while we stayed at the Magic Kingdom!  We headed back to Main Street and got a great spot in front of the castle to watch the Festival of Fantasy Parade!

After the parade, we had reservations for the girls to get Princess Makeovers at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!  This was something they had been talking about for a long time!  I think it was everything they imagined and more!  When they arrived, the received royal invitations with their names.  Then, they got to go into a dressing room to put on their princess gowns!  I decided to bring their Halloween dresses from home rather than buy them there.  Next up, they sat in the chairs and a Fairy Godmother in Training let them choose a hairstyle!  Blakely picked a classic Cinderella Bun while Lacie chose some crazy hairstyle with color (typical).  They also got their makeup and their nails done!  It was one of my favorite parts of the trip!

The whole Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique process took a long time.  When it was over we had only about 30 minutes before they would begin lighting the castle, so we decided to get a good spot for that!  It was magical and another one of my favorite moments from the entire trip!

After watching the castle light up, we headed out of the park!  We stopped for pictures along the way!

Back at the Polynesian, I ate a Dole Whip for dinner.  I had no voice at this point and that was all I wanted!  Dole Whips probably accounted for the other 25% of our snack credits after the Starbucks!

We were able to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks right from our hotel which was great!  Seeing fireworks was another first for our girls.  At home they are always in bed by 6:30pm so it's something they have never been able to see!

Happy 3rd Birthday Blakely!  What a difference 3 years makes!
