Friday Favorites

Happy Happy Friday!  This weekend will be as busy one in the Hilosky House as we get ready to celebrate Blakely Hope's second birthday tomorrow!  I can't believe that my current baby (soon to be middle child) is turning two!  She likes to remind us of her age often with some very dramatic terrible two tantrums!

1. Blabla Dolls
I posted this picture on my #hiloskyeveryday2014 post yesterday, and immediately got an email from a reader asking about my girls' dolls.
Those my friend are Blabla dolls, and they are my secret weapon to two little girls who are great sleepers!  Lacie started with one of the smaller Blablas on her very first Christmas as a gift from our Aunt Kathy and Uncle Bob.  And well, she just took to that stuffed animal so fast that the collection grew and grew.  We now have quite the mix of small and large Blablas!  My girls sleep with these every.single.night.  There are so many things that I love about them - for starters they are super easy to wash (not the case with other stuffed animals)!  They have a very whimsical and charming appearance!  I love that they are hand knit without eyes or buttons that can come off in the crib!  Lacie has slept with her very first one since she was four months old.  Blakely received her first Blabla in the hospital so she has slept with it since Day 1!  As a type this post, my "early riser" child is awake while the other is still sleeping.  But my child who is awake is not bothering her sister or calling me to come and get her because she is playing with her Blablas!

2. Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula
Oh my I have been out of this stuff for about a month, and I was missing it!  My skin was getting flakey thanks to needing to turn the heat on, and I knew I could not last without this stuff for another day.  So I ordered it from my very favorite store - Nordstrom - and my skin has been very happy!  I love that this stuff is gentle enough to use everyday!  It's a winter must for me!  I always always always order from Nordstrom because they have free shipping on everything and free returns...plus they offer lots of fun free gifts with beauty purchases (and who doesn't love that?!)!!!

3. Cadbury Mini Eggs - in Christmas Colors
It is a HAPPY HAPPY DAY when I find the Cadbury Mini Eggs in the holiday section of the food store!  I love these mini eggs so much.  I tend to eat them by the handful, but I also do a lot of baking with them.  You should definitely pick up a bag or two at your local store - you won't be sorry!  One of my favorite things to do with them is make my Cadbury Christmas Bars.  You can find the recipe HERE!

We eat these waffles every year on Christmas Morning!  They are AMAZING!  And then I make them a few more times throughout the year, but I seriously don't know why I don't make them more!  Last Saturday, I was having a serious pregnancy craving for these waffles, so I made them instead of our traditional Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Pancakes!  They did not disappoint!  You can find the recipe HERE!

#hiloskyeveryday2014 Weeks 45 and 46

Day 304 - Happy Halloween!!!

Day 305 - Because the day after Halloween we break out the Christmas PJs, the Christmas music, and the Christmas DVDs!  We were watching A Muppet Family Christmas on this day!

Day 306 - Taking a nice walk through the park!  Both girls are always insistent on wearing their hoods up!

Day 307 - getting the Big Sister/Little Sister shirts ready!

Day 308 - typical...I leave the room for a few minutes and come back to stickers everywhere!

Day 309 - part of our cold weather nightly routine is blow drying the girls' hair.  It is amazing how much longer it takes to dry Lacie's hair now!

Day 310 - one of the happiest days of the Christmas season is the day I find the Cadbury Mini Eggs!

Day 311 - yes that is a keyboard...my keyboard...probably from 1992...yes Nana saved it for all these years!  My girls thought it was the best thing ever!

Day 312 - Saturday Morning Snuggles!

Day 313 - 33 weeks and 2 days!  The bump is getting big!

Day 314 - Elf on the Shelf Pajamas from Grandmom and Grandpop!

Day 315 - Happy Veteran's Day!  So thankful for all of those who served, especially my Dad!

Day 316 - two days after her well check-up....Blakely got to go back to the doctor for falling face first on the kitchen floor.  *sigh* At least no stitches were needed.

Day 317 - we let the girls take over our entire family room with toys and where do they choose to play...the Hallway!

Mommy Mondays: Paisley Jean Update

It's a Mommy Monday, and today I am bringing you an update on my pregnancy and sweet Paisley Jean!

A few weeks ago, I was given Paisley's estimated date of delivery - December 19, 2014!!!
Since I had two previous c-sections I get to schedule another one!  So this means that unless I go into labor sooner, my sweet baby girl will be here just a few days before Christmas!

46 Days to Go!!!

And of course I am counting down.  First of all, I cannot wait to meet Paisley!  And second of all I feel like I have been pregnant for three years at this point!  I am hoping that all of the upcoming holiday festivities will make these next few weeks go by quickly because I am definitely starting to get tired and uncomfortable!

Tomorrow, I am going to the doctor for a 32 week growth scan ultrasound!  I cannot wait to sneak a little peak at this girl.  I am going to a new doctor for this pregnancy and they do not do ultrasounds the way my old office did (which was at every single visit for the most part).  So I cannot wait to see her little face on that screen!  My last ultrasound was at 20 weeks!  Oh and at this point Paisley should be measuring 3.75 pounds and I am very curious to see what they say she weighs...since both Lacie and Blakely measured well over 5 pounds at their 32 week appointments!  And while I know people argue that those measurements are off...mine have always been right on!  I had two very gigantic, healthy babies!

Me and my 29 weeks Baby Bump!

30 Weeks!!!  Paisley is growing!

I love getting my What to Expect Updates, and when I hit week 30 I was very happy.  30 weeks sounds so much further along than 29 weeks!

31 Weeks!

On Halloween, I hit the 32 week mark which is equivalent to 8 months!!!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!  It has been a super busy week full of lots of fun favorites!  In fact, I have so many favorites from the week that I don't even know where to begin!

1. Lacie's New North Face
The North Face 'Oso' Hooded Fleece Jacket (Toddler Girls)
When Lacie was one, she got her very first North Face.  The material that these jackets are made out of is unbelievable!  And the little kid ones are wayyyy softer than the adult ones!  Lacie got a lot of wear out of that coat, and it has since been passed down to Blakely.  Well recently Lacie has been very vocal about what she wants to wear, and her jacket is no exception.  She was insistent that she get a new North Face like Blakely's....so I just had to!  Besides, anything I buy at this point will get years of wear as it is passed down from girl to girl!  I let her pick between the blue and the pink....and my sweet little girl chose PINK!

2. Pumpkin Spice White Chocolate Bars
If you like pumpkin and you like white chocolate...these bars are for you!  They are also a cake mix recipe - a.k.a. the easiest types of recipes that you can whip up in no time flat!  You need to make these pumpkin bars before fall is over!

3. Elsa and Anna Soft Dolls
So we are down to crunch time...as in 56 days until my scheduled c-section and Paisley could always decide to come earlier!  I want everything in place well before December 19th, and one of the things on my ever growing to-do list is Big Sister gifts for Lacie and Blakely!  I saw these adorable plush Elsa and Anna dolls on the Disney website and knew that this was the gift.  Not only are my girls crazy for Frozen, but they will be able to bring these dolls home from the hospital and have a new "friend" to sleep with.  I know they will Love Love Love these dolls, and I am hoping they will really ease the transition to having a new baby!
4. Our Anniversary
John and I celebrate lots of anniversaries from the day we met to our wedding day, but Tuesday October 21st marked our engagement anniversary!  It has been seven years since John asked if I would spend my life with him, and I still feel like it was yesterday!  It is amazing to see where life has taken us since that day in 2007!  I am so blessed to call John my husband!  You can read this post to find out a bit about that day and find the recipe for our celebratory Heath Bar Crunch!

5. Girly Girls
It is no secret that I am a pink loving girly girl!  And Lacie and Blakely seem to be following along the same path!  This especially holds true for Lacie Jane who John and I have declared is 100% girl!  From the way she talks to the way she "runs" there is all girl in her!  The newest and sweetest obsession is for my girls to do each others and Mommy's hair!  Lacie could play dress up, style hair, and put on lip gloss all day long!  So I think it's a safe bet that there will be one of these little play hair sets under the Christmas Tree this year!
