#hiloskyeveryday2016 Weeks 14 and 15

Day 92 - These two are the sweetest!

Day 93 - My Tiny Dancers ready for a Saturday Dance Class!  We normally go during the week, but we had to make up the classes missed over Spring Break!

Day 94 - My sweet girls looking beautiful in their dance recital costumes!

Day 95 - Sweet Goodnight Hugs!

Day 96 - Three Hilosky Girls ready for Opening Day!  Let's Go Yankees!  In a PERFECT WORLD, everyone would be a YANKEE FAN!

Day 97 - Lacie heading out the door to the farm for a preschool field trip!  I sent Nana in my place (because truthfully I had no desire to go to the farm)...

Day 98 - Little Miss Independent is not happy to sit in the stroller anymore...nor does she want to hold anyone's hand!

Day 99 - typical....Paisley is always climbing in something...which she learned from Blakely!

Day 100 - remember those dance pictures we took a few days ago, well we got the proofs back and I couldn't love them more!  How sweet are my dancing sisters?!?!  You can see all of the dance pics in my Mommy Monday post HERE!

Day 101 - John and I left the kids with my parents and headed to Atlantic City for our very first every overnight date.  This is the first time that I have ever left the girls overnight for any reason other than when I was in the hospital having babies.

Day 102 - AC!

Day 103 - I snapped this picture of Blakely because this is what she does when I wake her up in the morning...you know those 13 hours she got the night before were not enough apparently!

Day 104 - Blakely is always extra happy when she gets to wear her Bumble Bee leg warmers to dance!  She's our B!

Mommy Monday: Tiny Dancers

It's a Mommy Monday on a Tuesday!!!

On Sunday John and I headed to AC on our very first overnight date away from the kids!  So I am a day late with this post, but I just could not wait until next Monday to share!

We got our dance pictures back and they are AMAZING!

We headed to the girls' dance studio two weeks ago for these pictures!  Lacie was up first, and at this point she's a pro!
Last year she was in her ballet shoes and tights, this year it's tap shoes and ruffle socks!  Lacie is in love with her Hot Pink outfit!  She was silly and smiley and loved every second of pictures!

Next up, it was Blakely's turn.  She was a bit more serious when taking her pictures (this is very true to her personality).  She absolutely loves her costume as well because it reminds her of Cinderella - her very favorite princess!

And then it was time for them to take pictures together!  My heart just melted seeing the two of them standing together in their sweet dance costumes!

And of course just for fun I had to compare Lacie's picture from last year to her picture from this year!  I actually couldn't believe how much she has grown in this side by side!

Next I had to put a picture of Lacie and Blakely side by side!  My girls first dance pictures!

#hiloskyeveryday2016 Weeks 11, 12, 13

Day 70 - even though it was March, it felt like summer outside!

Day 71 and 72 - Me and Paisley got the stomach bug.  It was the worst two days ever.

Day 73 - These two are always dancing!

Day 74 - Feeling better and off to the doctor for her 15 month well visit!  Paisley got a clean bill of health and is still brining up the rear of the Hilosky height/weight chart!

Day 75 - Well you knew someone was going to get the stomach bug too.  Sick day for Lacie, but she still insisted on making her teacher a birthday card!

Day 76 - Lacie was feeling better and somehow her BFF Blakely managed to be the only Hilosky to avoid this round of the stomach flu!

Day 77 - Happy Saint Patrick's Day from my three girls who are just a wee bit Irish!

Day 78 - Lacie's Spring Show at Preschool!

Day 79 - just two dancing sisters working on their stretches!

Day 80 - Happy Birthday Uncle Matt!

Day 81 - It's a blurry picture but I just had to share.  It's so typical!  Reason why my three year old is crying...her big sister hugged her too hard!

Day 82 - Paisley Jean!  Sweetest Baby!

Day 83 - Blakely Hope!  Tiny Dancer!

Day 84 - Day Date with My Love!

Day 85 - The visit with the Easter Bunny went exactly as expected... #lacielovedthebunny #paisleywasnotafan #blakelywasinitforthecadburyeggs

Day 86 - Having a blast celebrating Dylan's First Birthday!

Day 87 - Happy Easter from the Hilosky Girls!

Day 88 - We had a blast playing at Princeton Play Space

Day 89 - Everyone is on Spring Break, so John and I managed to sneak in another Day Date!

Day 90 - How I find them in the morning #headstands

Day 91 - These two have such a sweet, special bond!

White Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cookies

For Easter, I set out to make a few new desserts that were spring/summer inspired!   I love strawberry cake mix and really wanted to use it in my new recipe!

I decided to mix up my recipe for Orange Creamsicle Cookies and make these:

White Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cookies!!!

They were so easy to make, they are PINK, and they are Cake Mix Recipe #62!

Your Shopping List for the White Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cookies:
  • 1 box of Strawberry Cake Mix
  • 1 stick butter, softened to room temperature
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • additional white chocolate for melting and dipping the cookies

Now Let's Make the White Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cookies:
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper
  2. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment combine the cake mix, butter, and eggs until a soft dough forms
  3. Beat in the white chocolate chips on lowest speed
  4. Using a 1-inch cookie scoop, drop dough onto lined baking sheets
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 10 - 12 minutes until cookies are lightly browned on the bottom
  6. Remove from oven and allow to cool on pans for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
  7. Once cookies are completely cool, dip half of each cookie in melted white chocolate (I used 2 Bakers White Chocolate Bars, melted in a double boiler)
  8. Set cookies on wax or parchment paper and allow to sit for several hours until the chocolate is hard (you can pop them in the freezer for a few minutes to speed this process up)

I use this stand mixer for all of my baking:
I use (and LOVE) these cookie sheets:
I use this parchment paper (and it makes clean up so easy):
